End of Summer Trends

End of Summer Trends

A great way to end the season is by puttting away those short shorts and incorporating summer trends like the following into fall. Just add a leather jacket or your favorite dark wash jeans for an autumn feel.

PLEATS............................................................................................
Halston, Top: Urban Outfitters, Bottom: Forever 21, Free People, Love Culture

Pleats are still very popular with stars like Taylor Swift (above) to Emma Roberts, even the new fashion icon, Princess Kate Middleton. The trend can crossover easily by adding a few rocker pieces like combat boots for the perfect fall combo.

FLORAL BOTTOMS........................................................................................
ASOS, Topshop, Nordstrom, Target, ASOS

Unlike pleats, floral bottoms could change from summer to fall all on their own by simply getting a pair with a black background similar to this one worn by "The City" alum Olivia Palmero.

 CHEVRON STRIPES....................................................................................

Maxi Skirt: Alloy, Blue Dress: Express, Shorts: Dillards, Shoes: Steve Madden

Chevron stripes have made a comeback this summer with stars like Whitney Port and Jennifer Aniston. These more subtle versions of the trend make your whole outfit seem more fresh for fall.

PASTEL LACE....................................................................................................

Blouse: Forever 21, Dress: Urban Outfitters, Earrings: Etsy, Skirt: Mod Cloth, Collared Top: Lulus, Shorts & Yellow Dress: Yes Style

Lace will Always be popular for spring and summer as seen on Blake Lively. For a lot less, you can rock this trend in fall by adding a cute black blazer for that cute librarian trend.

MINT..............................................................................................................

Dress: Lulus, Shorts: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Nasty Gal, Necklace: Etsy

Mint a huge staple color. Its soft pastel hue with a perfect blend of lime green and cream. This color may seem only viable for spring and summer but a few dashes of this color here and there will leave your outfit with an airy feel.
